Christian Youth & Discipleship Ministry

Christian Youth & Discipleship Ministry plays a vital role in nurturing spiritual growth, moral values, and leadership skills among young people. Through sound Biblical teaching, visionary mentorship, and meaningful activities, the Ministry helps the youths develop a strong faith-based foundation and a Christ-centered identity. Additionally, there is a profound consciousness at Central Light Grace Chapel that the programs implemented through the Youth Ministry should foster and concretize the fact that they are loved by God. Likewise, the richness of the activities should move the youths from spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity. Through continuous best practices the following will be attained:

  • Spiritual Formation
  • Biblical Literacy
  • Equipping for Ministry
  • Character Development
  • Community Building Skills
  • A strong Passion for Outreach

The key activities in this Ministry include:

  • Sunday School
  • Youth Fellowship
  • Creative Expressions
  • Vacation Bible School/Summer Camp
  • Youth Community Outreach

Sunday School

The Sunday School Department is designed to fulfill 4 components of Christian Education, that is to reach, teach, win and nurture all participants according to God’s design for their lives. Through this medium, the church provides a safe place in which children can learn about Christian principles and the power of Almighty God. It is a space where our children are respected and given the guidance and support that mirrors the ways of Jesus Christ. The activities at Sunday School helps to affirm the notion that the church is a safe place and God loves them. When children are convinced about the warmth and care of an environment, they will be encouraged to stay within the comfort of the church and learn more about the goodness of God.

Sunday school is held every Sunday commencing at 9:00 am and concluding at 10:00 am. The different classes include:

  • Pre-kindergarten: Ages 3-4
  • Elementary: Ages 5-10
  • Middle School: Ages 11-13
  • High School: Ages 14 - 18
  • Young Adult: Ages 19 - 25
  • Adult: Ages 26 & up

Breakfast Program

The breakfast program was implemented to ensure that the children start their day nourished, alert, and ready to learn. The program expresses Christian love and service. Likewise, it supports families who may struggle with food insecurity. Simply put, the breakfast program also creates a welcoming and caring community, and provides opportunities to build relationships, teach values of empathy and compassion, and reflect Christ’s call to care for the total need of His children. The menu includes but is not limited to:

  • Fried dumpling
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Steamed cabbage
  • Sausage
  • Bacon
  • Pancakes
  • Waffles
  • Cereal
  • Fruit Juice

Youth in Action

Youth Sunday intentionally places young people at the center of the life of the church, recognizing them not merely as future leaders but as active contributors in the present time. It provides a meaningful platform for youths to exercise their gifts, develop confidence, and deepen their spiritual identity through leadership, service, expression and interaction with the word of God. By doing so, it strengthens their sense of belonging and responsibility, while also reminding the wider congregation that the vitality and continuity of the ministry depend on nurturing and empowering its youth.

Youth Fellowship

Meetings are held every Friday, and the aim is to foster spiritually grounded, responsible and Christ-centered young people who love God, serve others and will ultimately impact the world. Therefore, there is a strong focus on discipleship, fellowship, a sense of belonging, spiritual growth, personal development, service to humanity, outreach, guidance and support. Youths are encouraged through their theme Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12 (KJV) "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

Motto: “We are Christians; We are anointed; We are conquerors; We are peculiar; We are a royal priesthood; We are youths sold out for Christ.”

Theme Song: “We are a chosen Generation” (Author: Sinach)

Creative Expression Ministry

The Creative Expression Ministry is important because it helps to communicate the message of hope, faith and praise in powerful and engaging ways. These messages are expressed through music, drama, dance, artform, media creation, and the spoken words. It allows the young people with artistic talents to use their abilities to serve God, and the church while making worship more meaningful and memorable for the congregation. Creative expression Ministry is reaching people emotionally and spiritually thus helping them to connect more deeply with the message of the Gospel. It also encourages participation, especially among younger generations, and fosters teamwork and community within the church. This group also dramatizes stories during special seasons: Christmas, Easter, conferences and other special events.

Summer Camp

This program benefits children and young adults by providing a fun, safe, and engaging environment where they can learn Biblical truths, grow in their faith, and develop positive friendships. Through songs, stories, crafts, field trips and other activities, children develop moral values, leadership qualities, teamwork skills, and a deeper understanding of God’s love. Together, these experiences support holistic youth development, nurturing well-rounded and socially responsible individuals.

Summer Camp is held yearly, during the 1st week of June.

Youth Community Outreach

The purpose of Youth Community Outreach is to encourage young people to put their faith into action by serving others and sharing God’s love in practical ways. Through church outreach programs, the youths develop interpersonal, leadership and character-based soft skills that prepare them for school, careers, community involvement and faith-based service.
