Pastor's Welcome
Meet Our Pastors
Bishop Dr. Maurice A Clarke comes from Falmouth, a sea-port and Georgian town set in the picturesque countryside of Trelawny, Jamaica. The Lord encountered Maurice at a young age at the bedside of his late mother, Sister Lois Maud Harriott. “I was raised and nourished in a loving and caring single-family environment with my mother and four other brothers.” Lois was an incredibly hardworking, astute, proactive, and resilient mother. She knew how to make something out of nothing.

His ministry began in 1980 at Bethel Bible College, five years after his conversion to Christ (John 3:3), where he received his initial seminarian instruction. He received a complete scholarship from his church, the Falmouth New Testament Church of God, because his mother did not have the funds. His host pastor, Bishop Raymond Raymoth Notice, bestowed his blessing of affirmation, financial support, and wise guidance. Maurice married Rev. Dr. Annette Clarke, the undeniable love of his life, shortly after graduating in 1983 and beginning his internship in 1984. He described her as the most amazing, interesting, and important person he has ever known. Annette is amazing, clever, humorous, savvy, Intelligent, selfless, and a very independent thinker.
Maurice and Annette pastored in their native land for thirteen years, from 1983 to 1996. During their brief ministry, they were honored to serve at the following churches and capacities: Bunkers Hill, Sherwood Content, in the parish of Trelawny; Salt Springs, in the parish of Saint James; and the Frankfield District of churches as District Overseer, with Rev. Dr. Annette Clarke serving as District Women President in the parish of Clarendon. Bishop Dr. Clarke was elected to the National Executive Council of the New Testament Church of God Jamaica and Grand Cayman, as well as the Youth & Christian Education Board, which oversees the parishes of Trelawny and Manchester. After moving to the United States, Bishop Clarke was appointed Assistant and later District Overseer of the West Broward District of Churches, and has been the lead pastor of the Central Light Grace Chapel for the past 25 years.
Maurice and Annette are both honored to serve their personal community or faith, as well as the larger environment, in the noble capacity of notary public. They provide their services pro gratis. Bishop Clarke, a trained mental health counselor, provides mental health and pastoral services to his parishioners on a pro gratis basis. Bishop Clarke stated that he places a high value on his wife's administrative expertise and sensible guidance. He quotes Proverbs 19:14, saying, "House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD." Reverend Dr. Annette Clarke holds a MBA and a Doctorate in Education Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Bishop Dr. Clarke regards his wife as his administration central processing unit (CPS), and himself as the printout. Rev. Dr. Clarke is the church's principal administrator and manages general administrative concerns. Maurice and Annette Clarke have two kids, Maurice Jr. and Munroe. Both sons are married and have successful careers in business. They are married to two great women with have adorable children.
The couple is both committed to Jesus as Lord. They are also deeply dedicated to fulfilling and completing the divine mandate to proclaim and teach the gospel over the world (Matthew 28:18-20). Bishop Clarke expresses his deep gratitude to God for changing his wretched and rebellious heart as a teenager (2 Corinthians 5:17). Bishop Dr. Maurice considers his life as a living, breathing, walking miracle as a single-parent child. His credo is, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" Matthew 6:33.
