Jamaica Melissa Mission
Jamaica Hurricane Melissa Recovery Mission 2025
“A Church That Really Cares”
Central Light Grace Chapel, located at 4760 North State Road 7, Lauderdale Lakes Fl., 33319 represented by Bishop Dr. Maurice Clarke and a five-member delegation, embarked on a humanitarian mission trip to Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica and its wider environs to assist residents who are rebuilding based on the aftermath of this devastating hurricane. Grounded in our core belief that faith must be lived out through action; this mission represents our commitment to serve communities in need, and to embody God's love through compassion, service, and tangible support.
Mission in Action
For the mission Central Light Grace Chapel shipped three containers of essential relief supplies. These resources were carefully collected to meet urgent and practical needs of families affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Shipped supplies include:
- Over 35 generators to restore power and support critical needs
- Food and non-perishable items
- Clothing for adults and children
- Personal care and hygiene items
These supplies were distributed to communities still facing power outages, infrastructure damage, and limited access to basic necessities.
Bishop Dr. Maurice Clarke offered spiritual leadership while working alongside local partners to provide hands-on assistance and encouragement to affected communities.
Faith in Practice
Central Light Grace Chapel is built on the premise that we live what we profess. This mission trip is a direct reflection of that belief.
“Our faith calls us beyond words and into action.”
